My Favorite Punk Band 孟影

　　I always say:“ I love punk but I'm not a punk.” Punk is not only a kind of rock music, what's more, it's the truth of life.

　　My favorite punk band is Green Day, which is one of the most typical ones. They issued their first EP 1000 Hours in 1989, and then about ten albums were issued. The most successful one is dookie issued in 1994.

　　Their latest album American Idiot brought Green Day to life again. It is so successful that it became a best-seller and won many awards, including the MTV Music Award and the Grammy. They expressed their idea about the Iraq War and they said American President Bush is an idiot. The hit songs American Idiot, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake Me Up When September Ends and Holiday are loved by young people all around the world. They indicate how stupid the American government is, what huge pain the soldiers' families are suffering, how the wrong war damages the youths' dreams, how dangerous it is to trample peace and ignore other countries' rights.
